Beach Volleyball

A new gringo tradition is our random, let's call it weekly Beach volleyball sessions. I'd like to thank the participants and call for everyone to check out the 28 page Beach Volleball Rule Book I printed out to allow us to play a more uniform game.

FiVB rules

1.4 The service zone is the area behind the end line and between the extensions of the 2 sidelines (Brooks)

4.1.1 A team is composed exclusively of 2 players

6.1.1 Participants must know the Official Beach Volleyball Rules and Abide by them (Brooks)

13.4.1 The ball may touch any part of the body (head foot, leg, cock, vagina) (Brooks)

13.4.2 THE BALL MUST BE HIT, NOT CAUGHT OR THROWN. IT CAN REBOUND IN ANY DIRECTION (Brooks)

15.1.1 In blocking, a blocker may touch the ball beyond the net, provided that he does not interfere with the opponent's play before or during the attack hit. (Adam)

15.3.1 (This one is for you Adam) It is forbidden to touch any part of the net or the antenna (& you Cha Cha Cha)

16.6 The teammate of the server must not prevent either opponent, through screening, from seeing the server or the path of the ball

17.2 Under the section called attack hit faults, A fault occurs when. A player completes an attack hit using an open hand tip or dink directing the ball with the fingers (Adam)

17.2.5 A player completes an attack hit using an overhand pass which has a trajectory not perpendicular to the line of the shoulders, except when setting to a teammate (Adam)

18.3 In blocking a player may place his hands and arms beyond the net provided that his action does not interfere with the opponent's play. Thus it is not permitted to touch the ball beyond the net until the opponent has executed an attack hit.

22.1.1 The teams switch after every 7 points

23.1 Unsportsman like conduct argumentation, intimidation etc. Rude conduct acting contrary to good manners or maoral prinicipals, expressing contempt, offensive conduct defamatory or insulting words or gestures. (this one is gonna be tough for Cha Cha Cha and Adam)

23.2.3 Expulsion for repeated rude or offensive conduct. (Your Dead Adam)
